A Holy Presence
By June Stein
My Lord is where I am; I will exult in Him,
He is my strength and song; my cup overflows the brim,
I will not let a circumstance, or anything at all,
Keep me from my Lord, or mute His loving call.
It is in Him, alone, Who ever changes not,
That through His Grace, I face each day, with forgiveness as my lot,
To the Glory of my God, I will thank Him evermore,
And sing His praises in the night, to Heaven’s glorious score.
This is the entrance to my secret place, and the key to Heaven’s door,
Won for me by my Savior; secured by His blood, forevermore,
The physical place, in which I dwell, can change in many ways,
But in Spirit, there is light and peace, eternal beauty and songs of praise.
‘But let all who take refuge in Thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do Thou defend them, that those who love Thy Name may exult in Thee. For Thou dost bless the righteous, O Lord; Thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield.’
