Cauldron of Sin

Cauldron of Sin
By Christine Hare Tate

In the cauldron there’s brewing
a rancid concoction,
a stench in God’s nostrils
a compound of sin!

Putrid odors hover over
every tribe and tongue,
and permeate the air
infecting old and young!

It leaves an ugly stain
upon the hearts of men,
separating them from God
until they’re born again!

The precious blood of Jesus
cleanses sin’s debris,
removing scales of darkness
so blind men then can see!

A pardon we were granted
by God’s amazing grace;
one day those neath the blood,
will see Jesus face to face!
