Harvest time is here again,
the farmer has bought in the grain,
the barns are full of hay and straw,
the combines put away once more.
Potatoes dug and stored away,
ready to use another day.
Onions hanging in the shed,
so that the family can be fed.
The freezers full of fruit and veg,
jam made with berries from the hedge.
Then in each church on Harvest Day,
there is a wonderful display.
As the first fruits we do bring
and praises to our God we sing.
He gives the harvest and the seed,
for God supplies our every need.
So fill your heart with thankful praise
and serve the Lord throughout your days.
