Oh Lord, My Rock!

Oh Lord, My Rock!
By Lucia K Haase
~

Oh Lord my Rock! Oh Lord my Rock! –
I lift my hands to you in praise;
you know my heart and timely clock-
you teach me Lord, your righteous ways.

I lift my hands to you in praise;
you lead me to the Holy Place;
you teach me Lord, your righteous ways-
’tis I…unworthy of your grace.

You lead me to the Holy Place;
Your mercy lives…you hear my cries.
‘Tis I…unworthy of your grace,
yet still, you teach me to be wise.

Your mercy lives…you hear my cries;
you know my heart and timely clock,
yet still, you teach me to be wise-
Oh Lord my Rock! Oh Lord my Rock!

~

‘To you, Lord, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help,
as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place’.
[Psalm 28:1-2]
