Piranhas Of Sin
By Frederick Blanchard
I have experienced in my bones marrow,
The pain inflected to emotions core,
Even stood in the deep torrent of tears,
Flowing swiftly into the valley of sorrow.
As the ache of my soul stares into these depths,
Where the Piranhas of sin attack the injured,
In constant, debilitating strikes upon the flesh,
Swarming in from scores of Satan’s labyrinths.
I have heard the bass drum keeping the beat,
With the deep sobbing of sadness and broken heart,
The bellowing of lungs gasping for reviving air,
And sensed the desperation to find God’s Mercy Seat.
Stand still in the midst of these trying days,
Setting aside the sorrow, all anger and selfish pride,
Left up our eyes full of tears to behold our Lord,
For He’ll raise us up as we give Him honor and praise.
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.’
