Praise From Within

Praise From Within
By Doreen Margaret Higgs

My body may be weak and sore,
my pain be hard to bare
but my spirit is still joyful
for my Lord is always there.
I cannot stand in church to sing,
or clap my hands in praise,
sometimes it’s far too painful
even my hand to raise.
But though my body may be still,
when songs of praise I sing,
my heart is leaping, full of joy,
as my praise to God I bring.
Sometimes I feel I want to dance,
to clap my hands and shout,
my heart is full of joy and praise,
thats longing to get out.
But God, He knows just how I feel,
the love and praise within,
For though my body’s weak and still,
my spirit praises Him.
