The Empty Tomb

The Empty Tomb
By June Stein

The tomb is forever silent and empty,
Where once, the body of Jesus lay,
By the entrance, the heavy stone stands sentinel,
Since Almighty Power rolled it away.

When Jesus burst forth on that glorious morn,
A mighty battle for our souls was won,
No more are we chained by our endless sin,
If we believe, endless life is ours in God’s Holy Son!

What we could never achieve,
In Jesus Christ, is forever done!
