A Sobering Thought

A Sobering Thought
By Christine Hare Tate

What brings me to my knees
In humble gratitude
Is dwelling on God’s love
And its awesome magnitude.

When I bow in adoration
Before my Lord to pray,
Recently I find that I
Have fewer words to say.

Though I’ve come a long way,
There’s one fact I know,
In the light of God’s wisdom,
I’ve just begun to grow.

It’s a sobering thought
To remember I’m but dust,
And any good within me
Is because in CHRIST I trust!

My finite mind simply cannot fathom the scope of His unconditional love for mankind!
It leaves me speechless!
