An Empty Vessel

An Empty Vessel
By June Stein

Make me an empty vessel, Lord,
washed in Your precious blood…
Made clean to receive Your filling,
as I wait in expectant love.
I don’t know what You will ask of me,
but trust that You will provide…
All that I need to fulfill Your purpose,
ordained before there was time.
Put in my path each day, Lord,
all that is in Your Will,
And help me to recognize the times to move,
or times to just be still.
Let me never push ‘myself’…
but be content in humble tasks,
To be with You in heart, mind and spirit
is all that I will ask.
