Beginning Of The End

Beginning Of The End
By Tom D Blakely

It seemed like a hurricane
Along the coast it crept
With merciless destruction
Killing people as they slept.

Ancient trees were uprooted
And came crashing to the ground
There was no light, just howling wind
No sight, just a fearful sound.

High waves came in as mountains
And floods were all around
We cried out for salvation
But no one could be found.

We looked for our proud heroes
Who had been so brave before
But every heart had fainted
When the tsunami hit the shore.

Winds tore down famous buildings
Homes were washed away
All that we thought permanent
Vanished in just one day.

Why was there no warning
To prepare us for the storm?
And this the worst one ever!
But there was no alarm?

The Bible often tells us
That before the world will end
There will be more disasters
Worse than we can comprehend.

Take note of these disasters
Heed all that God has said
Don’t trust in manmade saviours
Trust Jesus Christ instead.

‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’
[John 3:16]
