Jacob coming home was full of fear
Having taken his brother’s birthright.
Great man of God though Jacob was
Thoughts of Esau made him terrified.
When he made camp later that night
Fear drove him to deeper prayer.
He wrestled with God ’til the break of day
He so needed God’s blessing there!
Esau met him with four hundred men
Having sworn to kill Jacob for years.
But something made Esau change his mind
And the brothers met in joyful tears.
When we know there is a place of deeper prayer
What is stopping us going there?
