Love Never Fails
By W A Zamorano
God is Love, we all know,
for the Bible tells us so.
God so loved the world He gave His only Son
for the salvation of everyone.
My heart is filled with gratitude,
a thousand thanks won’t be enough
to thank the Father for His Love.
Love had to take the ultimate test,
when God offered His very best.
When His Son hung on that tree,
His blood was shed for you and me.
His blood was not like yours or mine,
His blood was divine.
Eternal life flowed in His veins,
pure and holy, free from sin’s stains.
Love had to be crucified,
for sinful man to be justified.
When they drove in the nails,
He forgave them, for Love never fails.
When they pressed the thorny crown on His head,
He offered up forgiveness in their stead.
When they drove the speer into His side,
Love was welcoming His eternal Bride,
for to redeem Her, He had died.
Everyone who calls on His Name,
He loves the same,
Jew or Gentile, black or white,
all are precious in His sight.
When we ask Him to come into our hearts,
that’s when the miracle starts.
His Life, His Light, and His Love
has come down from above,
to dwell in you and me
for all eternity.
‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’
‘Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, but have not love…
I am nothing… Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy…
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked and thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things…
Love never fails.’
[1 Corinthians 13:1-8]
