Lukewarm?

Lukewarm?
By Marie C Neubauer
~

I look around
And this I see
Lukewarmness,
Complacency!

I travel ’round
Here and there,
Worldly events
Men gladly share!

I yearn to speak
Of deeper things,
The love you give
The hope you bring!

But this I find
Each time I do,
The topic changes
To something new!

Many claim to be
Christians too,
But seem ashamed
To speak of you!

Lord, send true revival
To this land again,
A pentecostal fire
To stir lukewarm men!

~

‘I know thy works that thou are neither cold or hot; I would that you be cold or hot,
And so because thou are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spew thee out of my mouth.’

[Revelation 3:15-16]
