By Tom D Blakely

I was so busy when I awoke
I had God’s work to do.
God spoke to me, in simple terms
And brought His will to view.

He reminded me of who He used
To bring me to the cross.
Not busy Christians, talking much
But one, in the right place.

I realized I had not stopped to pray
And had skim-read His word.
Anxious to get on with His work
I hadn’t time for God.

Being busy for God was not His will
Though I was slow to see. . .
It is not what I can do for God
But what God does through me.
