Have we become caught
In a tangled web of laws?
Spun to confuse with deceit
And hiding what was taught.
Full of rituals and chants
Remembering words of man,
And forgetting the laws of God
Taking no time to sing or dance.
Freed are they who truely love
The One who is Holy and Just,
And those created in His image:
Simple, is the message from above.
Burdens too heavy to bear?
Lay them down at the cross.
Tears of sorrow, to songs of joy
The Sustainer of life does care.
‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?
Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.’
