The Narrow Way

The Narrow Way
By June Stein

Keep me in the narrow way,
Be in all I do and say,
Help me set my sight on You,
Not the ever-changing view.

Though at times, rocks strew the way,
Or I face a stormy day,
In love, You reach to grasp my hand,
And as we walk, I understand.

There’s always beauty near to see,
And quiet glades are burden free,
When I rely upon my Guide,
And feel Your presence at my side.

Teach me patience, mercy, joy,
Angels to my side deploy,
To gently nudge me, should I stray,
And keep me in the narrow way.

‘For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life,
and those who find it are few.’

[Matthew 7:14]
