Trial By Fire
By Frederick Blanchard
Their soles suffered no harm or scorching,
For the hot cinders could not injure them,
Though the tongues of fire were blazingly hot,
Stoked by the king’s vicious will to kill and condemn.
Three servants stood amidst flames on holy ground,
Trusting in God were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
Alongside was their Redeemer, God’s chosen one,
Showing spectators that faith in Him kept them whole.
Our daily trial by fire is nothing compared to what a lot of people have to suffer.
Even so, how does our faith and trust show others how we hold up?
