You Could Have Touched Someone Else (Part 1)
By Rita Broden
~

Near the pool called Bethesda I’d kept my vigil long
Waiting for the chance to dip my feet,
But when the water started stirring someone else would enter in
It seemed as though I’d never taste that healing oh-so-sweet.

Lying there as always, across my path You came
And with the words You spoke to me: No longer am I lame!

You could have touched someone else
But I’m so glad that you touched me
You could have walked along another road
But instead You passed by me
You didn’t have to look my way
But like Your Father above
When You could have touched someone else
You touched me out of love.

Thank you for touching me Jesus
Thank you for making me whole
Thank you for touching me Jesus
Thank you for saving my soul.
