There is much talk today about equality to be achieved,
By taking from some to spread the wealth to others,
But equality is not found in the possessions of our lives,
We were created equal; in Christ, each one is equal with each other.
Our Savior bled and died as full atonement for man’s sin,
He loves us more than we can ever know,
What we do with what we have, is our own choice,
By Grace through faith, our equality is whole.
We are not promised easy lives, but that Christ is always with us,
His power and Grace sufficient for our needs,
There are lessons to be learned, as our walk with Him grows closer,
We know that when we call, He always heeds.
Charity will flow from the heart of God to our hearts,
As He is merciful to us, so we must be,
All needs cannot be met through legislation; it is loveless,
In equality of faithful love, it’s full and free.
A vital part that we must not forget,
Is to be constant in our prayers for all the lost,
No matter how many of their needs may be filled,
Their greatest need is hearing that salvation is in Christ, and what it cost.
We have all, when we have Christ, there is nothing to compare,
All things belonging to this world are fleeting,
How much we might have of what is valued here as treasure,
Will be as nothing more than sand in final measure.
‘All of you are God’s children because of your faith in Christ Jesus. And when you were baptized, it was as though you had put on Christ in the same way you put on new clothes. Faith in Christ Jesus is what makes each of you equal with each other, whether you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or a free person, a man or a woman.’
