Forever Mindful

Forever Mindful
By Christine Hare Tate

The scourging Christ received
I should have endured…
Because the Lamb was slain,
my salvation was assured.

They hung my Blessed Savior
on a wooden tree,
and I’m forever mindful
of the price He paid for me.

Jesus bore the pain
so you and I might live…
To Him all praise and honor
I shall always give!

Though it symbolizes death,
the cross I’ve come to see,
as a perpetual reminder
of my Savior’s victory!

[Isaiah 53]
