FORGIVE (acrostic)
By Frederick Blanchard

F reeing yourself from negativity,
For this ends in a deep well of defeat.

O pening your heart for some needed healing,
Replacing our pride with a sense of humility.

R eceiving the true peace for the soul,
That replaces anxiety that will maim and destroy.

G ranting a full pardon for offences,
Realizing our own personal imperfections.

I nitiating the progression towards harmony,
Truly living by the faith we claim to have in Christ.

V esting of our vulnerability to the Lord’s care,
Trusting in our God’s sovereignty.

E xpecting nothing in return,
Yet enjoying the experienced freedom.
