God’s Glory

God’s Glory
By June Stein

The Glory of The Lord is streaming down for all to see,
It’s everywhere, if we but look…from sea to shining sea,
We see it in the faces of His people as they pray,
And though sometimes our world seems dark, It’s never far away.

God’s Spirit courses through His people over all the earth,
In ways we cannot know, there is a burgeoning new birth,
He’s told us that He lives within; we need but seek to find,
When we are truly open in our heart, and soul, and mind.

And so, I thank You, Gracious Lord, I know that You are here,
If You, at times, seem distant, it is I, who am not near,
Please empty me of everything that dulls my sense of You,
Then touch me, hold me, fill me, seal me; let Your Light shine through.

In everyone and everything, I pray, may I see You!

‘For it is the God Who commanded light to shine out of darkness, Who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.’
[2 Corinthians 4:6]
