God’s Word Made Flesh

God’s Word Made Flesh
By Marie C Neubauer

They questioned Him
Concerning the Word
But they didn’t like
The answers they heard,
Mocked and derided,
Jesus, the Son of Man,
And then they devised
Their devilish plan!

The Word made flesh
Messiah had come,
But rebellious hearts
Crucified God’s Son,
The Words He spoke
Pierced hearts within,
As God’s Holy Spirit
Convicted them of sin!

He rose from the grave
As He had prophesied,
And Heaven’s portals
He then opened wide,
To all who believed
Forsaking their sin
Christ, the LIVING WORD
Invited all to enter in!

Though men may rebel
Against the living word,
Choosing not to obey
His truth they have heard,
His arms are outstetched
When we call on His name
To forgive and set free…
From sin’s guilt and shame!

‘Jesus said to Him, I am the way, the truth and the life.
No man comes to the Father but through me.’
[John 14:6]

‘And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’
[John 1:14]
