Let Me Never Be Ashamed

Let Me Never Be Ashamed
By June Stein

Let me never be ashamed of who I am in Christ,
For the glory of the Lord is worth more than any price,
The things we see are but a part of all He will make known,
There is none other worthy to sit upon His throne.

From Heaven’s glorious realm, He reaches down to us,
In compassionate love and mercy; it will be ever thus,
Our worthiness forever sealed by Jesus’ precious blood,
Once, for all, our Savior died to save from Satan’s flood.

So when we are reproached for bearing His dear name,
We are blessed, and those who mock will bear the guilty shame,
And if we suffer as a Christian, we should not be ashamed,
But glorify our gracious God under Jesus’ Holy Name.

‘If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you,
for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.’
[1 Peter:4:14]
