Live By Faith

Live By Faith
By Frederick Blanchard

I lay my burdens at the Throne,

And choose to live by faith alone.

Finding with self-reliance I was weak,

But find faith in the Lord when Him I seek.

Christ the Lord understands our sufferings,

By enduring words of hate and severe lashings.

Then at the cross He bled and died,

While sinners watched and His mother cried.

All our sorrows and all the pain,

He suffered, so eternal life we would gain.

Then He rose in power to life again,

Conquering death and forever now, to reign.

With a little trust and faith I find reassurance,

And my soul finds peace in blessed assurance.
