Most Of All

Most Of All
By Christine Hare Tate

How can I point a finger
when I often slip and fall,
I say things I don’t want,
things I hadn’t planned at all!

I’m convicted when I do,
repent, yet have to face,
the futility of my flesh
apart from God’s amazing grace!

How brilliant is the light
that searches deep within,
nothing there is hidden
it exposes every sin!

I welcome strong conviction,
not guilt and condemnation,
and thank my heavenly Father
for the gift of my salvation.

If I sin I quickly know,
that the blood of Christ applied,
already washed me clean
and can never be denied!

Jesus loved me at the cross
and forgives me when I fall;
it’s God’s unconditional love,
that matters most of all!

‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’
[1 John 1:9]
