As Jesus walked along the way
Through Samaria to Galilee
Far in the distance he could see
Ten men were calling to be healed
But Jesus Himself already knew
That all the men had leprosy.
The ten cried out as in one voice
“Jesus, Master have mercy on us!”
He told the men, “Go show the priests”
They all obeyed and walked away
And as they journeyed they could see
Their skin was clear as it could be.
Just one decided to turn back
Alone he knelt at Jesus feet
He glorified God for all He’d done
And worshipped Jesus Christ God’s Son.
Jesus asked about the other nine
Knowing this was a Samaritan.
King of the Jews indeed Christ was
As prophesied, to heal their sins
But Jesus was much more than this
For all mankind He bore the cross…
Ten lepers healed but one gave thanks
The foreigner, by simple faith.
‘So Jesus answered and said,
“Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”’
