By Tom D Blakely
You left the splendours and the glory of above,
to save the lost ones that you love.
For we had fallen Lord to depths of sin and shame,
O Lord we thank you that you came.
You walked and talked with us, as man but yet as God,
the dusty streets of earth you trod.
And then you died upon the cross of Calvary,
that from our sin we might be free.
You say whoever comes to you, you will receive,
If they repent and just believe.
And then eternal life you give to all who come,
God, how we praise you for your Son.
‘All that the Father gives Me will come to Me,
and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.’
