Lord, I know You are with me every day,
And always feel protected, come what may,
That doesn’t mean when trouble looms ahead,
Your hand will move to block the threat, instead,
As You let us continue on our way,
You calm our fears and grant us peace each day,
Your Love and Grace are there at every turn,
And in this time, we find new strength is earned.
When, suddenly, we’re out of our safe space,
Ready or not, that is a time to grow….
A time when we might touch another’s soul.
We might be hurt and need hospital care,
Where others care for us; are there for us,
Touching lives they may never see again,
Helping us to cope; doing what they can.
Some have troubles and carry heavy loads,
So, while we share that place upon life’s road,
May Your letters be written on our hearts,
That others see new life that You impart,
We may never know if we had a part,
In leading someone else to You Dear Lord,
Please help us through the detours on the way…
Until we reach that Glorious New Day!
‘and you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered
by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living
God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.’
[2 Corinthians 3:3]
