Die To Live

Die To Live
By Tom D Blakely

If a grain of wheat falls to earth and dies
It will bear much grain though it dies itself;
Like a grain of wheat when we die to self
We will bear much grain for eternal life.

It’s a sacrifice that seems hard for us
But it is God’s will that we bear His cross;
It’s the only way to escape the world
Break it’s sinful bond and have peace with God.

If we know the Lord and we seek His will
We will not hold back but this law fulfil;
This command is key to a life in Christ
May we bear much grain for eternal life.

As disciples of our Saviour Christ
We must die to live, we must die to“self”
For we are no good when we put self first
We must die to live… and to follow Christ!

‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies,
it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also.
If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.’
[John 12:24-26]
