Troubles Come

Troubles Come
By June Stein

In this world, troubles come to all,
It is a part of life,
Our Lord, Himself, was not spared,
From days of trial and strife,
He spent time with His Father,
Alone, in prayer to Him,
As He drew close, Christ found strength,
Which none on earth could give.

Refreshed from prayer, Christ went forth,
To teach and heal and love,
He followed His Father’s plan,
And conquered all rebuff,
The Lord taught His disciples,
As day by day, they went…
From town, to town—all around,
Spreading the Word God sent.

When we are having troubles,
Our Lord is always nigh,
In prayer we feel His blessing,
And know that in His time,
Our troubles will be over,
For when we turn to Him,
He never will forsake us,
His Light will never dim!

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take Heart!
I have overcome the world.”
[John 16:33]
